One-O-Six Chorus

One-O-Six Chorus

A box based on Roland Juno Chorus circuit with Rate and Depth controls.

Use MN3009 or MN3007 and a DC-DC step up inverter to get genuine Rolandish tone.

History :

It all started with this in 2011 : a Roland Juno Chorus board inside a 1U rack with a potentiometer to change the LFO rate + a dedicated dual power supply section + a Line level input stage.

The front panel and PCB we designed in April 2019 to fit a Hammond 1590XX enclosure :

Technical specs :

  • Full analogue signal path !
  • use genuine MN3009 or MN3007 PMOS BBDs
  • true Stereo Chorus effect (180° phase rotation)
  • Modulator LFO Rate/Depth controls
  • LFO rate based on Juno 106 I & II position
  • external source to replace LFO
  • Direct Mute to use the One-O-Six as an AUX effect with a mixer
  • 15dB range VU Meter
  • Input level control for optimal signal
  • Line level input : 0dBu
  • Mono 1/4″ TS Jack input
  • Line level Output : 0dBu
  • Stereo 1/4″ TS Jack outputs
  • S/N : 85dB
  • genuine 3W DC/DC step-up inverter inside to achieve similar voltage of the Juno
  • power : typically 9VDC 2.1mm barrel center negative (7-12VDC compatible, similar to stompbox )
  • power consumption on 220V AC : 2.9 W (all LEDs lit and Roland PSU-1U)
  • +15V rail : 190 mA
  • -15V rail : 90mA
  • weight : 0.410 Kg (no battery)
