The Oberheim Matrix 6 and Matrix 1000 have been developed and conceived to be used worldwide : there is a voltage selector inside the synthesizer.
Both can operate from 100VAC to 250VAC. They use a slow blow fuse (Timed).
Matrix 6
The Matrix 6 has two positions :
- 100-120V AC
- 220-250V AC
This is done inside the keyboard. So turn off the synth and remove AC outlet first to avoid any problem to your health.
!!! WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE OF ANY INJURIES BECAUSE YOU FORGET TO REMOVE HIGH VOLTAGE !!! #useyourbrain
You set the voltage by inserting the fuse in the right place. You need :
- T 1A fuse for 120VAC (idem 100VAC),
- T 500mA fuse for 250VAC (idem 220VAC).
Matrix 1000
The Matrix 1000 has a voltage selector underneath :
Set the fuse (inside the IEC power connector) :
- 250mA Timed (slow blow) for 220-250V AC
- 500mA Timed (slow blow) for 100-120V AC
